Slip-On Raised Face Flange

We manufacture slip-on raised face flanges for industrial piping systems, supplying products according to customer drawings and applicable GB, ASME, JIS and DIN standards. Our stainless steel slip-on flanges are available in grades including 316L, 304L, 321/321H, 310S, 317L, 304H, 347H, 904L and Duplex 2205. Hot forging and precision machining support accurate dimensions, sealing face finish and bolt-hole positioning. Sizes range from 3/8" to 32" (DN10–DN800), with pressure ratings selected according to project specifications.

Production Process

Every step is strictly controlled — from raw material to final shipment.

Applications

Our slip-on raised face flanges are used in general piping connections, valve and equipment interfaces, and low-to-medium pressure piping applications, subject to applicable design requirements.

General Piping Connections in Low-to-Medium Pressure Systems

SO flanges slide over the pipe end and are welded both inside and outside, providing strong and reliable connections in low-to-medium pressure piping systems.

Easy Installation and Alignment

The slip-on design allows for easier alignment during installation, reducing fitting time and labor costs compared to weld neck flanges, making them ideal for projects with shorter installation windows.

Connecting Pipes to Valves and Equipment

SO flanges serve as the connection interface between piping systems and valves, pumps, and other equipment, enabling easy assembly, disassembly, and routine maintenance.

Non-Critical Service Conditions

The simpler hub design makes SO flanges a cost-effective choice for general service conditions where high-integrity weld neck flanges are not required.

Quality Control

Each batch of Slip-On Flanges undergoes the following quality control procedures:

Incoming Material Inspection

Verification of material certificates (chemical composition and mechanical properties); confirmation of material grade per order requirements; visual inspection of forging blanks for surface defects.

Dimensional Inspection

Outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, and hub height measurement; bolt circle diameter and bolt hole positioning inspection; sealing face flatness inspection; bore diameter verification to ensure proper pipe insertion.

In-Process Control

Real-time monitoring of forging temperature during hot forming process; dimensional inspection of sealing face and bore after machining; sealing face surface roughness inspection.

Batch Traceability

Heat number, production date, material test reports, and dimensional inspection records fully archived; all inspection data traceable per batch.

Customization

We provide custom CNC machined flange services, including sealing face turning, bore machining and bolt-hole positioning according to customer drawings.

Hot Forging Forming

Utilizing advanced hot forging equipment for one-step forming of flange blanks, ensuring dense internal structure, uniform grain distribution, and excellent mechanical properties.

Precision Machining of Sealing Face and Bore

Specializing in precision turning of flange sealing faces (RF type) and bore machining, strictly controlling flatness, surface roughness, and bore diameter to ensure proper pipe fit and reliable sealing performance.

Bolt Hole Drilling and Positioning

Professional drilling of bolt holes with strict control of bolt circle diameter and hole positioning accuracy, ensuring precise alignment with matching flanges and easy field installation.

 Custom Marking

Supports steel stamp marking per customer requirements, including material grade, pressure rating, size, standard, and heat number for full traceability.

FAQ

Find answers to common questions about our products, services, and support.

What standards do you manufacture Slip-On Flanges to?

+

We manufacture flanges per international standards including GB (Chinese National Standard), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard), and DIN (German Standard). We also support custom manufacturing per customer drawings.

What is the difference between Slip-On Flanges and Weld Neck Flanges?

+

Slip-On flanges slide over the pipe and are welded inside and outside, offering easier alignment and lower cost, making them ideal for low-to-medium pressure applications. Weld Neck flanges feature a tapered hub that reduces stress concentration, making them better suited for high-pressure and high-temperature critical services.

What pressure ratings are available for your Slip-On Flanges?

+

We offer a wide range of pressure ratings including PN1.0MPa, PN1.6MPa, 150LB, 300LB, 10K, and 16K to meet various working condition requirements.

How do you ensure the sealing performance of Slip-On Flanges?

+

We strictly control the flatness and surface roughness of the sealing face (RF type) through precision turning. Each flange undergoes dimensional inspection before shipment to ensure sealing performance meets standard requirements.
